Virginia offers free or very low cost health insurance programs (called the FAMIS Programs) for eligible children (under 19) and pregnant women that provide excellent coverage including check ups, glasses, dental care, hospitalizations, and many other benefits. This health insurance is for working and non-working families (a family of 4 can make up to $44,700 a year). Your child may be eligible. The outreach workers at Smart Beginnings WT can help determine if your child is eligible and can assist you with the application process.
